My Mom is Purple.
My mom is purple.
It’s been her favorite color since she was young,
Unaware of the significance to come.
She was a single mom, while still married.
Yet never let it show, she just kept it buried.
Responsible for the delicate pink, and manly blue jobs,
She is a soft, yet powerful shade of purple- beautiful to watch.
Mending her heart,
While giving her children a new start.
My mom has strengthened from this blow,
And encourages me to grow.
Moving on from the past,
Came with putting herself last.
She has taught me to accept,
And not to fall subject
To the scary thoughts in my head,
Now my tears are no longer shed.
