Forks, Washington
The town of Forks smaller than I imagined.
The roads so twisty,
the trees so beautiful.
The happiness I feel as I see the colors of the leaves.
The mountains all throughout the roads.
The drive so long but so worth it.
The whimpering of my grandma's dogs as they see the trees.
The magnificent rocks in the water at La Push beach,
the sky so foggy you can barely see the Pacific ocean,
the sand between my toes as I walk across the beach.
The joy I felt being in nature.
The sound of the wind as it brushes across my skin,
The amazing smell of trees and rain.
The way that Rikki looked as we let her out of the car.
The happiness on my grandma’s face seeing me take pictures of the beautiful day.

This is a poem about my trip to Seattle to visit my grandma after she moved there a year ago. It is about the time we spent in Forks, Washington looking at all of the beautiful nature.
