Smoothie
I haven't used the blender
In a while.
It rests
Lonely
On the countertop,
Not even
Plugged in.
I miss the smoothies
I used to make,
I have all the ingredients.
Today
Is the day
I will try another.
I gather frozen fruits
From the freezer:
Strawberries,
Peaches,
Raspberries,
Mangoes.
Along with
Lemonade
I find
In the back of the fridge.
I eyeball the recipe.
The blades
Chop
And
Churn
At the mixture,
Until
The color is even,
The texture is smooth.
Poured in a tall glass,
Sipped with a straw:
Perfect.
Crazy
What all these
Different Ingredients
Can Create
Together.
If only life was that
Perfect.
