Control
Control it
I have to control it
If I don’t what will become
What will emit
I just can’t believe
This is only the eve
Larger I say larger
Closer it comes
A single tear falls
Knees buckle
Shrieks ring out
Children pout
I scream I shout
A stamped of legs run past me
I look up to see
Darkness stares down at me
No light
Not even a hue of color
Arms fail to move
Fail to push back
Legs cease to move
Cease to flee
I can’t breathe
I can’t I can’t I can’t
Hands
A touch
Something…someone
A strong grasps on my shoulder
A call to look up
A smile replaces my frown
I swear to never look down
I raise my arms
I’m back to control
I can take it
If I have control
I will not go down
Not without reclaiming my crown

It can be scary to lose control of a situation. My inspiration was from many stories I read with character that had similar problems.
