full circle
a smile stretches across her face
as she paces around her room
waiting for their name
to brighten up that space
that face used to be emotionless
she couldn't find a safe place
he had created her brokenness
she would take her days slow
not sure which emotion to show
after some weeks
her emotions would peak
she found the happiness
she long seeked
she felt alive once again
despite her thinking
she wasn't going to feel it again

This is my perspective on relationships at this time. As a teenager I've experienced meeting someone new, building an attachment, abandonment, frustration , anger and sadness. Then there's a period of growth and healing. Once you fulfill what you lost, you repeat the circle once again. This creating a habit. Sometimes it feels like you won't get out of that habit. People tend to forget that every person will get out of that. I haven't been fortunate enough to get out of that cycle, but I've been able to stop myself from creating that habit again.
