You Made Me Smile

At lunch, you told a joke

An offhand comment, 

Really just a quip, 

But 

You made me smile.


In the hallway, 

As I walked from Spanish to Gym,

I thought of it again,

And 

You made me smile.


That night,

I closed my eyes,

And instead of over thinking,

I remembered that moment

And again,  

You made me smile.
