Oh, My Dear
Oh, my dear
You musn’t smile for me,
Not even a bit,
For it imprints onto my brain,
Clutching and holding onto it
Like the talons of a raven.
Oh, my dear
Your words,
Though I try to ignore,
Strike a match within my stomach,
The fire roaring and burning.
Oh, my dear
You compel me to breathe,
My chest full and functioning.
You convince my heart to beat,
It pulsating and quivering against my ribcage.
Though, my dear,
How could I feel this way?
You are a flower I have yet to water,
You are hands and wrists that I have yet to hold,
You are the moon and the stars that I cannot reach,
How could I miss something that I have yet to know?
You are the one who clouds my thoughts,
You are the one who makes me burn from within,
You are the only one who makes me feel complete.
I could not be without you
No matter the distance,
No matter the time we’ve lost,
No matter the people we’ve met,
You will always be the one I love most

I am in love with somebody who does not exist. It feels like a lost love, as if I have met them before.
