Look The Part
It can’t be right
Because I don’t look the part
I don’t fit into your narrow minded perception
Of what I should be
You think I still look normal
Can’t you see?
I don’t act normal.
I’m barely able to stand
To walk
To do normal tasks
Without being in pain
The pants that fit three months ago
Are now two sizes too big
My eyes weren’t sunken in last year.
I wasn’t this pale.
I wasn’t this tired.
This cancer’s stolen from me
And you see no depravity
Because it isn’t what you expected it to take
