Freedom By The Water
Quiet, calm, and void is the only way I can describe the feeling of this lake.
The bridge reflects like a mirror off the water, turning into a full moon.
Every step I take, the leaves crackle, crunch, and echo through the entire perimeter.
The bugs continue to make excess noise, while the birds chirp without halt.
It smells like pure wilderness and nothing more.
I could wander aimlessly and never find home again, but is that what I desire?
I climbed the bridge and soon felt something lift from my chest, my soul perhaps?
All the burdens I ever carried in my life, gone.
All the care I ever had, dissipated.
Freedom.
