Love Expert
I am an expert of love
I can tell you how it looks
I can tell you that it hurts
I can tell you how it seeps into unsuspecting hearts
Infecting you until you burst into flames
Many of my friends are in love
And people are in love with them
I am in love as well
And sometimes I find myself wondering if there will ever be another to reciprocate my feelings
To put an end to my suffering
I am an expert of other's love
How they see it
How it hurts them
How it feels to be loved unconditionally
I can only wish to feel enough from their stories as I watch through the window of my eyes
I envy
I cry
And I sit and I think, and I ask myself if I have been cursed with being undesirable to everyone I fall in love with
This is a rough draft poem based on something that happened in my friend group. I had very strong feelings for a boy who my friend also really liked. We started competing for him and in the end she won. I still think about it, as it is not the first time it has happened.
