Stitches For Stab Wounds
Thump.
Thump.
Slice.
Blood stains cover your clothes.
Your eyes are watering.
But blackness buries,
The burden you were holding.
The sound of sirens,
Sing in the side of your skull.
Crying crackles,
It’s way to your ears
Like crickets crowking,
Crows cawing,
And life leaking out.
Stitches—
Are the start
To a long road of recovery.
Sew.
Back.
Life.
