Moon's Gaze

I let out a sigh
and looked at the sky
and the moon replied
with a fact I couldn't deny
the stars blinked in agreement
the comets nodded as they whizzed by
and the tides rose in unison
before waving goodbye
so along the shore I wandered
through the ocean's haze
with many ideas to ponder
under the moon's gentle gaze
