if i asked you to tell me about her, would you?
would you tell me about how her smiles glows,
how you can't look away?
how when you stare at her you perceive more than her body, that your admiration runs deeper?
would you tell me about how safe you feel with her, how much it truly hurts to leave her behind?
do you wish you stayed?
do you wish you told her something before it was too late?
when you describe her to me... would it be a reflection of who i see?
would it be me as i hope it would be?
or is it too late.
would you just leave me to "figure it out" on my own,
think about all the possibilities?
leaving me to fight myself;
trying to reach a logical argument for who it is or who it should be like an impossible equation assigned by the most cruel professor.
i would ask,
would you leave me to write sh*tty little poems in hopes it helps me heal from your gentle touches and kind remarks?
but unlike the riddle with no answer, i know your response to my question,
because that's exactly what ive found myself doing.
while it lasted...
it was nice to consider that i could be an option.
it was nice to imagine that im the one that was on your mind.
the one who you described as "nice and sweet", and you're not one to gush.
you always did have a sweet tooth,
i just wonder if im enough to give you a high, without the sugar crash.
