words are toothpaste

with the tube squeezed from the bottom up

and rolled up all nicely

words are Susuwatari - soot sprites

that eat pastel stars as a snack

snuggle up with you when you sleep &

leaves pawprints in your hair

I don’t dust my windowsill just so

they can be carried up my nose by dusk breeze

sneezed onto papers and pen

I carve words into wet cement

so when I turn back they can’t be changed

only cracked

words say

hello, welcome, and

join my journey

and words say

goodbye, that’s a nice stay,

I will see you again, next time
