My Darling
Remember darling how you used to hold my head?
When I did not care to cautiously tread
On the tear-smudged shipwreck
How the sea would swoop against the deck
Was how you caught me by my cracked neck
Remember darling how you had no thread?
So you pulled pieces of your hair
Till you became a baldhead
And used it to sew my broken neck
You called me a pinhead
Remember darling how you then said
You’d be back in a sec
While I dreamt of your foolish head
And waited holding on to your every thread
And lay in your bed
To only find it was all in my head

Romance: so beautifully exquisite, souls of all kind- human or not- desire it with every single droplet of venom in their bodies. Yet sometimes romance/love becomes something only existing in heads- where reality is dread.
