I’m tearing down the stretch,

I’m going to retch.

Heart rate’s racing.

My lungs burning,

yearning.

My legs begin to tire,

The situation is dire.

The pain is immense,

This feeling’s so intense.

I feel my soul leaving,

My consciousness is fading.

Wait… It’s done.

I had finished the run.
