Longing
Oh darling, oh dear
Why mustn’t you be near?
I long for your embrace at night
Along with dreaming of you in daylight.
Your delicate grey hair
And your adoring care.
You’re the one I want the most
Even if you are a ghost.
Every time I sit behind your grave,
I leave with my heart eroded as if it were a cave.
So now I am accepting that although you may be far
I can look up and see you shining bright as a star.
