Life Guard
The surface of the pool
Is still and reflects like a mirror
Surrounded by my nature
Abundance of summer colors
The air is heavy
And humidity takes my breath away
The only sound,
The distant pool pump
As the airlock approaches
The maintenance man comes
Just like in the last decades
In this hectic little pool
That we are fortunate
To call work
