Perfect Princess
Why are princesses always skinny
Why do they always wear makeup
Why do they wake up perfect
With makeup on and hair already done
Why are they perfect?
You see people say how social media is fake and how wrong it is for women to be pushed to look “perfect”
But they forget what we grew up watching
Perfect Princesses
We watched people being perfect and strived to be like them
Social media or words from others had no say in that
As people, we will never be perfect and that’s ok
But one thing I’m going to do to make the world better is strive to be the person God created me to be
Not some perfect princess
And maybe show a few others to do that too

As little girls, we were called princesses. It’s ok to be girly and have fun! But this poem shows that women shouldn’t have to be that perfect version of a princess.
