Ka Mo’olelo
O Wakea kahi noho ia Papa hanau moku hanau O Ho’ohokukalani he wahine
O Wakea kahi noho ia Ho’ohokukalani hanau O Haloanakalaukapalili he Kalo, hanau O Haloa he kanaka,
This is what our ancestors were taught,
“ma ka hana ka ike, ma imi ka loa’a”,
Through the strong bodies and minds of our Kupunas,
“huli ka lima i lalo ola, huli ka lima i luna make”
Through the ike, manao, and hana of our kupuna, today because of this we have the privilege to reminisce about our history,
We are the descendants, we are the kanaka, we are Hawaii
