Remembrance
The heaviness of my clothing, holding me down, slowing each step I take. Clenching my arms together as I shiver, run down blood from the reopened scars from the same drunk truck driver who doesn’t move as I called out for help. Endless walking on the hidden wet road with street lights flickering as I pass by over and over again. Hopeless to find someone when no one ever appears when I need them, except him.
The brightness of his smile, the warmth of his kisses on my cheek, the tightest hug I receive every day, his contagious laugh, his smooth small hands on mine, holding tightly to never let go.
I’ll remember you, little brother.
