Social Society
We live in a society, I’m sure you’re aware of that
But what you might not be aware of is how social our society is
We get into groups of people that appreciate us
We let them praise us and shower us equally with attention
Until they dislike us, we grow apart, and find a new group
Just apart of life, right?
But what you don’t realize
Is the way someone feels out of these groups
Without a group, cracks start to form in the marble exterior of a once completely perfect person
Without a group, people feel worthless
And so they get on their devices and look at those who are prettier or richer than they
This is how it starts,
The decline of happiness.
This is how depression seeps into the cracks
How anxiety creeps up like a large cat in the night
How thoughts of suicide appear like a magicians assistant
How lives become just another statistic.
