A Night of Rain
A night of rain
That brought soft strain
To branches laden with leaves,
A dewy frost
That coaxed spring moss
Out of winter's woven clutch,
Rivers rushing
Water flushing
Banks bloated past the brink,
A breath of new
And out it drew
Whistled hems of lilting content,
A night of rain
That brought soft strain
To branches laden with leaves,
And all the while
The flitting smile
Of dawn dancing over the moors.

You could say that I had a very pleasant ride to school.
