What we Have
I don't know what'll happen
if we will be alright or be apart
if I'm thriving or languishing
if I'm dead or alive
but I know that I won't forget what we have
All the nights we stayed up till the birds crowed us to sleep
the jokes we made while staring into each other's souls
kindling a warm fire that'll last forever
everything will keep flooding back like a tidal wave of memories
something that'll comfort me at night
like the magic of a mother's touch
When I'm anxious or just numb
I'll remember the memories we created
wrapped in a safe cocoon wallowing through it all.
