Where did the time go? 

It only felt like summer break 

just started yesterday. 

How are we already about to be a third

into the year? 

It feels like everytime I blink

a week goes by.

I remember the beginning of this year 

like it was a month ago. 

Time just seems to disappear in an instant, 

just like a flash of lightning 

on a rainy night. 

You don’t realize when time comes and goes 

until it is already gone. 

Remembering the times of the past 

and realizing how much time has passed. 

Time is such a precious thing,

amazing to have but gone in flash.  

Even though it may not seem like much at first,

it will always be something 

that you wish you could get back.
