They say she can do it

In all honesty

She doesn’t believe them.

They say, “She’s the perfect fit!”

What about others

Wanting to hold their hand?

Why won’t she answer the phone?

Someday, set on a throne

Showered with advice

She doesn’t know

But it’s so close, can she put on a show?

Sometimes, she dares to dream

But even that’s a disaster

Hope; hyped-up holes of helplessness

That makes her want to scream

Is this real, are we spinning even faster?

Suddenly, she’s floating

How long until she crashes?

When will they look up

And notice?

I guess she’ll have to wait and see.

But what if she’s tired of remaining?

Won’t take the bait

Should she make a move

Or should she wait?

I guess her face

Just wanted to dress in crimson for the occasion

She’s gotten stares; a linear equation.

Nope, she isn’t ready;

Her head can’t be steady.

Slamming the door behind her

Panting

They walk up to her

With a smirk she’d like to erase off their face

She doesn’t want to have another heart attack

From demons in her head chanting

Suddenly, she’s falling

Pounding thoughts, so red hot

Why can’t they be explained?

Blind dreams keep on tripping us every time

Maybe, one day, they’ll come true.

A few months ago, I started writing for fun at home, and it turned into this. :)
