City Feelings

Living in the city

Looking through the windows,

Seeing it through the glass.

Watching the cars driving into the colorful sunset,

While it goes down,

Street lights start to slowly flicker on.

Looking at all the buildings,

Skyscrapers and studio apartments,

Looking down at the people,

With big smiles on their faces.

Wishing i was down there,

With friends or family,

But yet I don't have any.

Im alone,

Feeling the void of the echo in the empty room.

Hyper Focused on the sniffles from my nose.

Sitting in total darkness,

with no lights in the living room,

After the sun has set.

Feeling useless,

Lonely,

Unwanted,

Feeling the emptiness inside me,

Wanting to just be okay for a night.

Laying down,

Staring at the ceiling for hours,

And hours,

And hours.

The clock on my wall keeps ticking,

Pulling up the blanket,

And squeezing my stuffed bear.

Feeling my eyes starting to get heavy,

Slowly closing my swollen eyes.

Eventually becoming sound asleep.
