untitled
the blue grey turmoil:
stubborn, painful, violent, crashing waves.
but when the winds cease there remains a beautiful calm,
a certain sparkle filled with a lifetime of hurt and whispers.
small specks splashed across his face,
a warm galaxy of littered stars betrothed on his pale pink skin.
shadows looming just under the surface, hiding behind his sweet dimples and rich smile;
the familiarity of somebody you might have known a hundred years ago, and only come across seldom in your lifetime,
with the demeanor of someone you know could never exchange the same amount of care your soul pours into him with his own tainted essence.

I am a 16 year old hopeless romantic who has experienced enough heartbreak and hurt for a lifetime, and find it easy to read people. Despite being let down by so many, I still find an individual beauty in everyone. I was particularly intrigued by this person, so much so that I decided to write a poem about them and see if it gets anywhere, so in case I get let down again I have my work to show for it.
