clementine
The clementine reminded me of my childhood
The shape so familiar to me
The memories came to me in a wave
A sphere, so perfect and inviting from all angles
The exterior was cool to the touch
There were no imperfection across the entirety of it
Simple, sweet, perfect
The covering would release itself
So gently from the inner,
Allowing anyone to enjoy the center
So fragrant it was,
Filling the air
Opening my nostrils to allow in the fresh scent
Finally, the taste,
Covered my tongue in a gentle flavor
Never overbearing
Allowing me to savor every bit
