Life Cycle of Love

Love is a blazing candle
Running rampant like a wildfire
It goes on for what seems like an eternity,
It flourishes and shines its light,
Illuminating all of life.
But slowly like a star it starts to dim.
Dying out from a bright, beautiful fire
To barely a flicker of a flame.
Soon snuffs itself out leaving only
A trail of smoke and cinder, leaving only to show
what once was.
