Senior Year
Senior Year
The greatest year in high school,
I was told.
Only to realize senior year
is the saddest year.
Our last football game,
last homecoming dance,
last game of our last season,
last prom dance.
Senior year is our last year for every school event.
After memories from pre-K to senior year,
they disappear once we leave for college.
Our teachers who have taught us everything we know,
they are gone when we graduate.
When we graduate, we leave our hometown,
we leave behind the past 18 years,
only to create more memories.
Senior year is not the greatest year of high school,
like I have been told.
After experiencing senior year myself,
I have to say,
That senior year is the saddest year of high school.
