i’ve never been scared of bugs

they never really gave me the creeps

i was the one they called for

to throw my shoe at them

ever since i met you

i get the urge to scream

when i see them on my wall

just to give you a call

i want you to save me

from something that doesn’t scare me

just so you’ll protect me

and make me feel okay

so i’ll let out a blood curdling scream

and you’ll run into the room

you’ll throw your shoe

and it’ll fall to the ground

you’ll kill the cockroach

because it’ll make me feel safe

i could’ve done it myself

but it’s better if you do it

check if it’s dead

even though i know it is

because i used to check

but can you still do it?

just to be sure?
