The Winter Season
The leaves have all gradually fallen, the air is starting to get crisp and bitter.
In the early cool mornings,
there are small coatings of white covering the world.
When the first snowfall comes the whole neighborhood full of children
rushes out to make their first snow angel of the winter season.
Students are longing and waiting for one text to appear
“Due to harsh weather, there will be no school tomorrow. 01/22/21.”
When the clock strike 6 . every father gets anxious and giddy to get outside.
The roaring sound of the snowblower can be heard all around town.
On the drive throughout town, there are lots of sights to be seen:
gigantic snowmen, children gliding down the icy slopes on sleds, and houses decked in Christmas lights to spread the holiday cheer.
After children are finished running around trying to dodge the icy snowballs being thrown at their faces, they run inside to the aroma of sweet hot chocolate and melty marshmallows.
The days are winding down until Christmas Eve is finally here.
Every child is unable to sleep because of the excitement consuming their minds to see if Santa left presents under the beautifully lit tree.
The winter season is finally here.
