34 kids look up to you
34 teens looking for something to hold onto
other than drugs or blades or bottles
27 of those young minds are queer
gay, bisexual, non binary, lesbian, trans
and they look to you for comfort
to be told it’s okay
to be told the man in the sky that we aren’t sure we should believe in because of how cruel the real world was
loves us how our own parents won’t
you could be the voice we need to hear
when we’re told to just be “normal”
but instead
you’re just one more scream
telling us we can’t be loved
telling us the one thing we could hold onto
doesn’t accept us
the person that created us, the heavens, and the earth
cant even love us
was i made wrong?
