Void
The starring sky, the magnificent trees
The hope they bring, immeasurable truly.
When I gaze up, I feel such ease,
I reminisce, smile, weep heartily.
This sensation, attracting me,
To repel I try, impossible I find.
Is it a trap? Is it dangerous?
The serenity says otherwise.
Bright colors, dull colors, they intertwine.
They bring joy, sadness, all humane emotions.
I try to find meaning in this world, my existence
Except in this void
I am but an insignificant dot.

I wrote this poem about an image that I saw. It reminded me of how little, insignificant, and fragile we are in relation to the universe.
