I Wonder
I wonder what it’s like
To build a house
To set ourselves free
I wonder what it’s like
To see the stars
How beautiful it would be
I wonder what it’s like
To hear the sizzle of an iron pan
To hike the narrow trails
I wonder what it’s like
To sludge through mud
To build a fire
To climb the crevices of a mountain
I wonder what it’s like to read a book
To rock gently on a rocking chair
To be covered in quilted blankets
To breathe the fresh air
I wonder what it’s like
To wake up in the morning
And see the rising sun
I wonder what it’s like
To see the tassels in the fields
To run through the colors
To taste the ground
I wonder what it’s like
To live there
To live in a fantasy

This piece was written spontaneously, something that I felt was hard to express into words. I tried to reimagine what I felt was a seemingly idealistic world, where life is simpler and nature is more interconnected with our lives.
