Ode to Ravioli

Oh my dear Ravioli,

The opposite of all that is holy

Your fine silken innards,

Can convert even priests to sinners

When one feels your smooth texture,

It turns their demeanor to Hugh Hefner

Paired with a saucy concoction,

People are warned to take caution

The acidity of a tomato coulis,

Remains on my tongue without any fee

It circles the mouth,

Until it goes south

The residue still stays,

Like oil spilt in a bay

And the outer shell hits,

Like a thousand bricks

Exposing the creamy interior,

That makes all other foods inferior

And by the time it's consumed,

There's nothing left to chew
