feeling '22

to drink or not;
a toast to the future.
when the glass empties,
will it be alone -
my other halves
miles and miles
away?
will it be coughed up -
a viral virus venting?
will it be piercing -
holding a backpack,
red, red wine sloshing against the walls?
happy new year.
