2022 Traditions Contest
We're here naming the New Year,
With gifted gear to talk,
Leaving jingle bell rock,
And looking to the clock.
It's nothing much, really.
Just a downright devious, delirious spree.
And when the time comes for the ball to drop,
We all say the words and go 'bottoms up'.
"Something isn't right here!", you say?
Maybe that's because you're a little morally grey.
Nonetheless, it's something of a humble brag,
But not so much that you'll catch us in rags.
So it's here, the big year,
And maybe, just maybe,
We'll have more friends to cheer.

This is meant to depict a very simple tradition that my family has: A New Year's toast at midnight. It's something I look forward to every year, even moreso than the holidays that come before.
