Struggles
I feel like I’m drowning.
All the battles I fight,
are all ones that I’ve lost.
The yelling,
the crying,
all play-back in my head,
I try to forget,
but they keep going like and unending movie.
I try to yell for help,
but I’m the only one that can hear myself.
No one understands,
all the things I’m taking in.
It all seems never ending,
and I push,
and push,
but I’m getting nowhere.
I look at everyone around me,
their smiles and laughs,
give me a sense of loneliness.
I know I can reach the top,
but my current feelings and pain
pull me back down.
I can’t breathe,
doubt compresses my lungs.
Do they care?
Do they worry?
All these answers are unknown to me.
I know I can come through,
but as soon as I do,
the waves knock me back down.
I thought I had reached the end,
but I soon realized something.
All struggles are like oceans,
powerful, yet never ending.
