Purring mornings

A trembling cold body

Evicted from the castle

Only a blanket to shield it from the cold

On its painful journey to the bathroom

Cries fall at the bottom of the white wooden frame

And two white paws make sure they’re being heard

Reaching said body

I let them in

A purring beast greets me and shield

with a tail dancing around my feet

Good morning to you, too

When I see the piercing lights from the bathroom

My eyes almost cringe at them

The sink hisses in my face

Lights turn off

And as the paws follow my trail

Instead beating me the dimly lit room

Those eyes, two light green eyes meet me at eye level

Sitting on an island

And the eyes are black now, and he reaches his paw toward the now warm body

His smile opens wide

A high pitched noise comes out

The feline prince is feed

Time to fuel the body

The black pebbly coarse sand smells-like something so pure, so clean, so, so intense

And where the boiling hot water meets at the steep boarder

The darkness escaped toward the sky

And it’s beautiful

The body is awakened by the jittering smell, the hotness, and the lion has finished feeding

And with a purring beast, and a cup of darkness

I realize I do love mornings
