Dear me, your mental health matters
Dear me,
I know times are hard
The world around you feeling cold,
And hard to live in, where breathing starts
To feel like a chore .All you need to do,
is sleep all day till everything is so
Bottled up it's too hard to bare,
all I ask is you just breathe.
Dear me
You’re being over dramatic,
they say as you lock your true self
Away behind a fake face of smiles.
you hide away the flaws that Make you human.
All you need to do is lay down and rest.
Dear me
I love you,
the words you try dearly to hear from the ones you love and cherish,
The one phrase that could light your whole world ablaze,
like a wildfire caught in the deserts dry land.
Dear me
Why do you run from the world like the wolves are chasing,
when all you do is hide from your pure emotions.
What gives you the right to not tell them how you feel?
Dear me
I give up,
Helping you is like fixing a broken clock you’re missing pieces of.
Time is up and the clock is done forever broken that’s it
Dear me
I’m sorry I’m here to help, it's time to find some help we need.
We can’t do this alone.
Please remember what we had and what we need,
Please remember!
Dear me, your mental health matters!
I need you to remember you are enough,
You can breathe freely and show your flaws
You have nothing to hide from them for they love you.
You have a heart made of gold though broken in a few places.
You finally give a real smile and laugh.
Dear me,
I LOVE YOU

I wrote this when I was in a very bad state of mind. when my mental health had begun to get the better of me during quarantine. I'm doing much better now and my poem has been posted in my psychologist's teacher's class and my therapist's office.
