For The Fairies

At the stroke of dawn, I wait to see them

The fairies who fly so freely

With their wings, with no worry in sight.

Allowing the wind to guide them worrylessly

While they fly through the sky as the colors collide,

Going through the doorway into my dreams.

I love the way the fairies are gullible to trust,

How they are able to trust the wind to guide them,

Even in places where they are not welcome,

Thinking they are free to fly wherever they wish.

Always believing that they can return home safely with the wind,

Not knowing how truly deceiving the wind is.

Not knowing the truth, they continue to believe that they can return,

whenever they please, which is why I want to say:

Don’t let something like us deceive you

The wind is just as deceitful as us,

Guiding you to places which you don’t know.

The world is wonderful, but even the brightest places can be the darkest,

The music of the wind, is a wonder hymn,

But once you listen, you cannot unhear it

Don’t let the wonderful hymn trick you, just as we do.

We use the fairies as an example,

To never learn to be so easy to trusting,

They put their trust in the wrong people,

Just as simple-minded children do,

We are actually very similar,

But at the same time, we are not.
