Cup of Matcha

Matcha is equal to balance.

The grassy taste that is not at all like soil

Something so bitter

Can also be sweet

Matcha powder is only the start.

It originates with green tea leaves

And evolves to be something even better.

Matcha stretches further than tea

To be something casual too,

A matcha latté, known for its smoothness in texture

Is matched with sweetness from milk

And bitterness from its original counterpart.

Matcha can be used for formal occasions.

Matcha cake with its soft, green robe reigns over cakes in popularity polls.

The forms that matcha come in are

balanced with

the tastes of grassy bitterness and sweetness

And are all laced with their own special matcha.

People like consistency

Matcha is the same.

Rainy Days

There are people who find joy in rain.

The way it starts with the wind blowing in the trees.

Then the clouds start to roll across the sky

as drops of rain prepare to fall

The common yet pleasant smell of wet soil that lingers in the air–

–petrichor.

Rain can bring joy whether one is outside,

Or in the coziness of a house.

It gives a soothing yet dramatic feeling when watching the droplets.

The feeling is as calm as drinking tea alone in silence.

They fall one by one down the windows of houses.

They are little cars driving in a race,

Trying to pass each other after a hint of hesitation.

The way they help one sleep when they fall on the roof.

They fall and land with a noise that goes Ppit Pat.

There is a duality to rain, it can be viewed as sadness,

Or calmness and happiness.

Rain gives us water and rain is unlimited.

The little cars that fall down everyone's window when it rains,

are droplets of joy for some.

Watercolor Foliage

The green leaves that change into colors of the setting sun,

indicate that it is half way through autumne the warmest colors on every artist's color palette,

the brightest in color theory.

Eventually

every tree is covered with

a blend of warm colors.

Red to orange then yellow makes the trees look like a watercolor blend,

Complementing the colors that appear in the sky everyday after the sun takes a break.

But someone can only paint for so long.

Then the leaves fall to the ground in preparation for winter.

They Create piles of leaves,

shaped like mountains,

raked into place to ensure one of the highlights of Autumn

is there to catch the children jumping

in a moment of joy.

A Flowery Autumn

Many and most flowers bloom in the Spring,

Where there are rainbows and it is bright and sunny.

Autumn is like a toned down spring,

It may not seem like the type of month where flowers bloom,

But there are many.

The sweet asylum is one.

It looks soft and delicate on the outside,

But it can withstand frosts,

Especially while cuddling with each other

on their arranged positions around the house.

Chrysanthemums are a flower that bloom

with layers surrounding the pistil

and can withstand the changes of temperature in fall.

Mums are determined to show the world that not all beautiful things in a store are expensive.

The Russian sage

has a very straightforward name.

They bloom in tiny purple and silvery green colors like a larger lavender plant,

Being strong enough to grow in a dry and rough environment when being met with a challenge.

Snapdragons are another.

They come in almost every color and when they bloom,

They look like the fire dragons spit out in stories.

These flowers add a little bit of flavor to fall and remind people of spring.

They bloom slowly with their patience.

They shine during the day and under the moonlight.
