Why I Will Not Get Out of Bed
I saw you with someone else last night
You two were holding hands walking down the street
She had a look on her face I’d known all too well
That up-turned smile with a twinkle in her eyes
The same face I made around you
I returned home that night, cold
I couldn’t stand the chill so I went to bed
My covers providing the warmth
You saved for her instead

This poem was written as a paranoia in my head. I had just met a guy and feared for the worst.
