As your age rises my hope starts to lower
Praying your soul will forever remain
Letting go of your tranquil gaze
Drifting off to a greater place
I weep as I see you for the final time
The tears, remembering you
Let your soul lie peacefully
The pain feeling so real, yet true
I sit in silences as my mind rewinds
All of the memories rushing far and wide
Your wrinkled skin and charming smile
Your image permanently in my thoughts
My angel to now His
Your wings expand so gracefully
Kissing me once more
I now watch you soar
