Seeds
Seeds grew from her lips,
delicate and soft.
Blossomed into flowers,
fragile and bold.
But the world was tough and the flowers crumpled and burned.
Petals fell, her lips cracked and hurt.
Soot shook from her hips as she sank into the earth.
Now, seeds grow from the dirt where she was once scorched.

This poem is about unreasonable beauty norms for young women. I see it also as a comment on how dentrimental the oversexualization of young women can be.
