I am the tree outside. I am a plant but do have feelings that many cannot see. I change throughout the many days there are within a year. In the cold, dark, eerie time, I weep and fall, filling the night with melancholy. On scorching hot, blazing days, I feel happy and sing. On the rainy days, where my outfit is the best, and the people take pictures with me. On the breezy days where it smells of warm cinnamon and pumpkin, the great aromas from room 29. I dance, and dance, waiting for the day I wither away. I am the tree outside.

It represents what I think about the seasons and the tree describes the different seasons just the way I would. In the summer, I made the tree feel happy because it is my favorite season. It is also about the tree at my school which is practically my second home.

In this set piece I decided to take the tree outside quick write I did and just condense it into a short story. I like how this one turned out because of the sensory and description of how the tree’s mood changes along with the seasons. I also used personification in the parts where it says the tree weeps and dances. I like how I used the word “sing” because it shows how trees give off beautiful fruits in the summer that are pleasing to eat and the singing is also beautiful and pleasant to hear. I like how I said that in the winter, the tree weeps because it represents how the leaves all fall and you can see the branches hanging down. Also, the part where in the fall, the tree dances because it represents the wind rocking the tree back and forth. I put, “I change throughout the many days there are within a year” to represent the different seasons and how trees change with them. I put “on the rainy days, where my outfit is the best” to represent spring and how the tree has flowers on in then, and it’s pretty. Also, I mention room 29 near the end of the story, and room 29 is the baking/pastry arts room.
