ashes, ashes MAG

there is ash on my fingers
shiny flesh with a gold undertone
paper ash pressed into my prints,
forcing a record of everything i have touched
smoke wafts off my skin into aching lungs
like a kiss from a flicking candle
and once again,
i
tumble
down
to
embers
