Summer Rain
October 7, 2021
Summer rain washes,
But blood on skin remains.
Rain does not wash blood.
It is not rain that I feel, but tears that caused the flood.

This poem is one of the only pieces that I have ever written about myself. I really enjoyed this poem and was given an opportunity to include it in my school's yearbook. My lovely Creative Writing teacher told me it may not be approved since it did take on a darker theme, but incouraged me to submit it to TeenInk.
